• “Looking at this beautiful painting of my childhood home brings back so many memories. I was raised there with eight other siblings who were in and out of the house all along the way. My parents did an amazing job raising the chaotic bunch and that’s how I remember my little home. I remember they put in a pool in the backyard when I was three and it has created more memories than I can count. From learning how to swim myself there and then teaching my own children as well is very memorable. My parents redid every single room in that house over the years so I’ve lived through many remodels. Every room is beautiful and tastefully done. The best part of the home though is the kitchen. My mom and dad owned a restaurant so food is the center focus of our family. We have shared a lot of memories around the table and around many tables in the garage at Thanksgiving time. The garage would transform into a large dining space because of our gigantic family. But don’t worry, my dad kept the garage so clean that we could eat off the floor if needed. Of course my mom had to hang up a tablecloth over his toolbar to make it look nice. And dad would put heaters out there to keep us warm through the cold Utah winters. So grateful for this house that was a beautiful home to be raised and loved in. I’m so grateful for this painting and I know we will cherish it much more now that my parents have moved. Thank you for your beautiful talent!”

  • “Our daughter Alia commissioned this painting for us and when [my husband] shared it with me (with Alia on video chat in Ukraine), I can’t even explain the emotions that I felt (but it was somewhere in the middle of gratitude, love, nostalgia, and longing)... But I just need to say that when I look at this painting, I don’t remember the piles of stuff (that we had in abundance). I remember being safe, cherished, and part of a close family.”
